Katy Turchich


Hello! My name is Katy Hurtig and I am the proud owner of Coastal Coordinating. I have always had a niche for designing, organizing and facilitating events; I even planned my own Sweet 16 party! The idea for the Coastal Coordinating started in 2006 when I simply began helping my family and friends plan their weddings and events. It was a fun and exciting way to let my creative juices flow and help my loved ones create long lasting memories. To my surprise the idea morphed into a strong business that has grown tremendously. I would not be here today without all of the wonderful couples that have given me the opportunity to plan and coordinate their events and I could not be more thankful and honored to have worked with each and every one of them.

I make the commitment to my clients to be authentic, transparent, and passionate about their events. Each couple has their own vision and I believe it is extremely important to identify and carry out that vision. The most valuable asset I provide as a wedding planner is making the planning process fun and relaxed for the couple. I handle the planning, budgeting and coordinating so she can focus on the most exciting parts of their big day like tasting cakes, trying on gorgeous wedding gowns and selecting the perfect invitations.

My job is to make sure that the wedding process is stress free from start to finish. We start by discussing what the big day will look like and then we develop a wedding budget. I then partner with the vendors, some of whom I have worked with for close to ten years, who I know provide consistent and outstanding customer service. Often times these vendors will offer discounts or complimentary upgrades to the couple so that we can stay within their budget. I only connect my clients with vendors I trust because I always put myself in the couple’s shoes and treat each event as if it were my own.

It brings a smile to my face and warms my heart knowing that I’ve helped create a beautiful wedding for my clients and their families. I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you to deliver an event beyond your wildest dreams. I’ll handle the stress, so you can live and enjoy the moment!
